Celebrating 250 years of the United States of America!
Celebrate nearly 250 years of American music with your Greeley Philharmonic. The concert includes the patriotic “Liberty Fanfare” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Also featured is Copland’s ballet, Appalachian Spring, inspired by the American frontier. Bernstein’s Three Dance Episodes and “A New World A’Comin” by Duke Ellington fuse jazz and orchestral traditions. The second half opens with a world premiere of a piece by Julie Giroux.
