Dvořák Symphony No. 9

Conducted by Maestro Lowell Graham

Experience a night of travel, stopping at the Teatro San Moisè theater in Italy and listening to the dramatic love story of opera Il Signor Bruschino composed by Gioachino Rossini. Then boat through Jean Sibelius’s “Swan of Tuonela,” about a dark river in the mythological land of death. Enjoy folk songs of the Cornish working class from Malcolm Arnold’s Four Cornish Dances, and finally, land back in America with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World,” with musical details from Native American folk songs, jazz, and festive dance themes.
