Greeley Philharmonic Rings in the Season with "Poinsettia Pops"

The beloved tradition returns! Join the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra for “Poinsettia Pops” on December 6th at the Union Colony Civic Center. At 7pm your Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra will take the festive poinsettia-adorned Monfort Concert Hall stage for a night of holiday spirit.

The concert will begin with The Magic Baton Melody contest, showcasing a Greeley-Evans School District 6’s student’s composition that has been orchestrated by Composer-in-Residence Dylan Fixmer for the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. This winter, the winner is Axel Guerrero from Bella Romero Academy with their composition, “Helping Where I Can.” Congratulations Axel!

Embracing the sounds of the season, “Poinsettia Pops” will feature familiar songs and carols including “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson, “Joy to the World,” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” along with whimsical selections from the ballet La Boutique Fantasque. The Greeley Philharmonic is thrilled to welcome back the Greeley Chorale and Greeley Children’s Chorale for festive songs and to “wrap” up the night with “Angels We Have Heard on High.”

The Greeley Philharmonic encourages attendees to join us in celebration of the holiday season with the final night of the Festival of Trees before the concert. Arrive when the lobby opens at 6 for some extra time to check out the decorated trees on two floors of the Union Colony Civic Center, included with your concert ticket.

The Cow Saloon and Eatery is hosting a Sip & Savor with a pre-concert curated meal starting at $45 per person at 5pm. Tickets and info for this pre-concert event are available at www.greeleyphil.org/store/sip-savor-at-the-cow

“Poinsettia Pops” is sponsored by Robert and Diane Miller, Sears Real Estate, and Weld Community Credit Union. For more information and to purchase tickets please visit: www.greeleyphil.org/calendar/poinsettia-pops-2025
