William Bryant is a classically-trained trumpet player originally from Austin, Texas. He grew up studying under trumpet player Gilbert Elorreaga and competed at the state and national levels in high school. Since then, Bryant has performed at many conferences and competitions including the Round Top Festival Institute, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and the Midwest Clinic in Chicago. He is a frequent competitor at the National Trumpet Competition, where he has been a semifinalist and multi-year quarterfinalist in the Undergraduate Solo Division as well as a finalist in the College Ensemble Division. Bryant currently resides in Boulder, Colorado, where he studies trumpet performance under Dr. Ryan Gardner at the University of Colorado Boulder. As a student, he performs with the CU Symphony Orchestra and various chamber music ensembles.
